  1. It’s really hard to even think about a new pet, but I read this today and it made me realise that our pets would never want us to be sad, but most of all that animals are infinitely generous and they don’t mind us sharing the love.

      • I just wanted to let you know that I took in two foster kittens. They’re the super fluffy ridiculously adorable kind but they seemed to have had a tough start to life. They were scared of the slightest noises, didn’t seem to know how to play with toys and they didn’t even chase each other. I didn’t realise how bad it was until I took them to the vet – she thought they were about 9 weeks until she looked at their teeth. They were actually almost 6 months old.

I couldn’t believe what a tough start they had. I took them home and in a last ditch effort to turn them into ‘normal’ kittens that run around the house and chase everything, I gave them Grumpy’s favourite toy – her blue bouncy ball. I’m not sure I was even ready to do it, but I don’t know, something in me just did. Well that’s the end of that – they absolutely love it and for the first time, they’re playing like real kittens do. Seeing them chase the ball makes me feel that Grumpy’s love is alive.

      • I’m so sorry for not seeing this sooner! As per my last post – I’ve had quite the list to check off! I’m so pumped to hear about all the new adventures you’re about to have! How fantastic of you to see the potential in these wonderful kittens. Enjoy the kitten phase, it’s one of my favorites 🙂
